Lightning bug in someone's hand

Bugs, plants, and lots of fun at Nature Day Camp

Pennsylvania’s state symbols are the stars of this camp week. We’ll capture and identify as many lightning bugs and other minibeasts, as possible. We’ll find the Mountain Laurel and other plants that provide food, shelter to wildlife. Discover what lives in, on, and around Eastern Hemlocks. The gorge at Countryside Conservancy’s Little Rocky Glen is special because of the water and hemlocks found there.

Children and teens have the opportunity to make lasting memories and amazing discoveries outdoors. Join us for fun-filled weeks of discovering the wonders of nature though games, role-playing, stories, art and craft projects, journal writing, meet live education animals, hands-on activities, picnics, and hikes through forests and along streams.
