Teens ages 13-17 years old assist the camp staff with setting up and cleaning up, supervising campers, and leading games and activities. They gain experience working with younger children and learn how to plan age-appropriate activities. CITs also learn about the weekly topic of Nature Day Camp.
Campers discover the secret lives of fairies and flying wild creatures. They’ll pretend to be birds, bugs, and bats. Meeting the Nature Center’s live education birds; building fairy houses, bird’s nests, and pollinator houses; listening to stories; and searching for creatures fill this week with fun activities.
Children and teens have the opportunity to make lasting memories and amazing discoveries outdoors. Join us for fun-filled weeks of discovering the wonders of nature though games, role-playing, stories, art and craft projects, journal writing, meet live education animals, hands-on activities, picnics, and hikes through forests and along streams.
Little Rocky Glen Preserve is owned by Countryside Conservancy and we’re grateful to offer Nature Day Camp at this special location. For information about Countryside Conservancy visit their website at countrysideconservancy.org
